Using Word for Citing and Footnotes

First, place the cursor to the right of the last word in your quote or to the right of the last word in the sentence/phrase where you refer to a source. Then, from the options at the top of the page, click on References-

Then choose 'Insert Footnote' -

Word will place a superscript number where you placed the cursor and add a footnote with the corresponding number at the bottom of the page-

Enter the bibliographic details of the source in the footnote in the correct manner according to the Chicago style-
