Publish or Perish

Publish or Perish (POP) was developed by Professor Anne-Wil  Harzing of Melbourne University and is based on Google Scholar data. The free software retrieves and analyses academic citation data. It can be useful for those working in fields not well served by traditional citation databases (Web of Science or Scopus) such as Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics. It provides a number of metrics some of which are total number of papers and citations, average citations per authors, papers per author and citation per years.  Again an author would need to check their profile as there will be duplications and errors but PoP will include more sources than Web of Science or Scopus and will be more current.
