Library Essentials: Help

Library staff are here to support you in finding and accessing the resources you need for academic success. Whether you need help locating a book from your reading list, understanding the academic resources available to you, accessing materials through our library databases, or learning how to reference sources in your assignments,  we're here to help.

How can I get in touch? 

There are a few ways that you can engage with us:

1. You have a home library, so this can be your first point of call if you have any general queries, such as finding library resources in the collections or your library account. Ask at the library desks or email/phone your home library directly. 

2. Your Faculty Liaison Librarian is available to assist you with more advanced queries, such as finding resources for your assignments, developing research strategies, evaluating information, and referencing. You can call or email them directly. They can also meet with you in person in the library or online via MSTeams.

3. If you are a postgraduate research student, researcher, or research-active staff member, members of the Research Services team are also available to help you find what you need. 

4. Prefer to chat online? Pop your query into LibChat. A member of library staff will follow up with you during library opening hours.
