Planning your visit to the library: Updates TU Dublin Tallaght Library

Update 4th May 2021

Due to the current ongoing IT Systems Outage please see below for changes on accessing library resources.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this and investigate solutions. Please refer to ongoing communications from the University in relation to status updates, thank you.

What library services are available?

  • Library databases.  The library can assist you with access to some of the library databases - contact library.tallaght@tudublin.ie.  Please check your University email account for updates in relation to databases.

  • Study spaces are available. Our online booking system is not available, so as an interim measure, students can book a study space in the library by emailing library.tallaght@tudublin.ie with the time slots they wish to book. If the slot you require is available, library staff will make a booking on your behalf and confirm same or suggest alternative time via TU Dublin email. Students will have access to WIFI in the library via Eduroam.

  • Click & Collect service available. To search for print books in the library, please use the following link https://librarysearch.it-tallaght.ie/. If you wish to borrow an item, a member of the library team will place a hold on an item for you and arrange a time for collection during library opening hours.

  • Past exam papers are now available but cannot be accessed through the library website.  Please email the library with the details of module, semester and year.  The library do not have any papers available after January 2020.  For enquiries about these please contact your School Office.

  • Online research consultations. Library staff are available but limited with what we can demonstrate until access to online databases is restored, so the focus would be on open access publications including academic journals and, resources such as ArrowGoogle Scholar and citation tools like Mendeley.

  • Library opening hours are available at the following link: https://library.it-tallaght.ie/.
