Academic Writing

One of the key skills you are required to develop throughout your studies is the ability to write in an academic style. The style may vary across disciplines but there are a few features that are key to all academic writing styles:

  • Presenting and developing information in a structured and coherent way
  • Critically evaluating the information presented
  • Originality of thought
  • Providing citations and references (Day, 2023).
