In celebration of Bloomsday— day on which James Joyce’s novel Ulysses takes place, and we honour Ulysses, its author, and his remarkable literary achievements—TU Dublin Library Services has created a subject guide. Taking place on June 16th, the day on which Ulysses is set, Whether you're beginning to explore Joyce’s life and work, starting the monumental task of reading Ulysses, or seeking deeper insight into his influences or masterful use of language, this guide offers a wealth of resources. Drawing primarily from TU Dublin Library collections, the guide also highlights a range of external materials, including short films, readings, and archival content from the Irish Film Institute (IFI), RTÉ, and the National Library of Ireland (NLI). Dive in and discover the brilliance of Joyce and the world of Ulysses this Bloomsday.
