Inter-Library Loans

A guide on how to request an Inter-Library Loan from collections held outside TU Dublin Library Services.

TU Dublin Inter-Library Loans Service

The Inter-Library Loans Services is a lending service between academic libraries where the item required is not available in any TU Dublin library. If you cannot find what you are looking for in the library, we may be able to get it for you from another library.

All TU Dublin students and staff may request the loan of books, journal articles, theses, and conference papers from other academic libraries in Ireland, the UK, and abroad. These may be in print or electronic format, but please note that there is no Inter-Library loan service for e-books.

REMINDER:

This service is for requesting items that are NOT currently held in our libraries.

If we have the book in one of our libraries then you should go to that library to borrow the book, or access the online resource in the Online Library.  If you are a staff member, you may avail of our TU Dublin Intra-Library loan service. If you need assistance with this, please contact a library staff member at your home library and they will be happy to help.
