Library support

Library and research support is available to all students from first years getting started in the library to final year students or postgraduates working on their dissertation.

The library offers a range of classes, tutorials and workshops from searching, evaluating and referencing information for assignments to literature review and critical reading for both students and academic staff:

  • Classes can be delivered “at point of need” throughout the year, and are designed to suit the specific needs of a student cohort.
  • Classes or support can be arranged for student groups or tutorials can be offered on a one-to-one basis.
  • Classes can be delivered face-to-face, via Brightspace/Teams or can be pre-recorded.

Library staff can also provide support to individual staff members who are engaged in searching for information for research or publication.

An introduction to library services for new staff members can also be arranged.

To discuss your information needs or to book a student class, please contact the Faculty Liaison Librarian in your subject area.
