Library Services

This guide will advise you on the library services, resources, and supports available to students and staff during COVID-19 restrictions. Restrictions are still in place in the libraries. 

The Online Library is available 24/7 providing access to ebooks, ejournals, and library databases.

Visit Library Essentials and the Library website to learn more about the Online Library. 

You can borrow books from Aungier Street, Bolton Street and/or Grangegorman library in one of three ways:

  1. Using the Click & Collect Service
  2. During a Quick Browse Slot
  3. If you have booked a Study or Computer Space

NOTE: You need your Student Card to borrow books or to request books through the Click & Collect Service.

Library Services from Monday, 20 September 2021

The Online Library, which includes ebooks, academic databases, academic journals, and so much more, is available 24/7 from anywhere. 

Need help finding your way around library resources? Visit Library Essentials or contact your Academic Liaison Librarians. They are available for online research support and referencing advice throughout your time with TU Dublin.

Quick Browse Slots (starting Monday, 27 September)

Need to grab a book and go? Our new 15 minute Quick Browse slots allow you to quickly find and borrow what you need. No booking is required.

Check library opening hours for when the Quick Browse slots are available in each library.

Click & Collect:

You can borrow from the Collections using the Click & Collect Service. You can request books on the Library Catalogue and collect from the library by appointment Monday-Friday.

Library Fines

No overdue fines will be charged during the current restrictions.

Bookable Study & Computer Spaces:

Bookable study spaces and PCs are available in the libraries during the Summer

Please note that our services have been developed in line with Government, Health & Safety, and University protocols and are subject to change. 

 

Book Returns

If you have books on loan or overdue you can return them to any of the libraries. No fines are being charged during the current restrictions. 

You can return your Library books to the book boxes in Aungier Street, Bolton Street, and/or Park House Grangegorman Library. You do not need to schedule an appointment to return Library books.
